Sunday Farewell to Spring Break '11

Spring Break 2011 is officially over. The human part of me wants to complain and whine that it's over and that I have to return to work tomorrow. However, I realize that I was incredibly blessed to take a trip to Colorado for five days with three of my friends and enjoy a whole week off! It just wouldn't be right for me to complain. I'm also thankful to have a job to return to...where many people in our world would give anything to be able to work. I will be glad to get back into a routine and see my students! :)

Today, Rita's Italian Ice was selling gelati's for $1.00, celebrating the First Day of Spring! Dayna, Audra, Jessica and I went there together this afternoon. I had a Cotton Candy gelati with vanilla custard. It was good! Mint chocolate chip italian ice is my favorite though and I was bummed that flavor wasn't in today! :/

Then, we headed to Moe's to pick up dinner to take to one of the big lakes in Lakeland to have a sunset dinner. It was so beautiful outside! I love this time of year when the sun stays out later and it's not too hot or too cold. It's just perfect! We even saw some mama ducks with ducklings...precious! Spring is in the air!

After dinner, we just played around with the camera, acting as if Spring Break had just begun!

Standing on my tiptoes will never make me as tall as she is. What was I thinking?

Spring Break is officially over, but it was SO MUCH FUN! Colorado pictures will be coming soon. These are the days, I'm tellin' ya! Single, employed, able to travel, great friends to share fun times with...I'm blessed!

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

Happy St. Patrick's Day! The day has been really low-key for me, after returning from Colorado late last night. I'm on Spring Break and it's quickly nearing its end! I realized I haven't posted in a while, but it's been busy. I know I need to do tons of picture updates, but I definitely want to get my Colorado trip pictures up soon! I had the most amazing time ever in Colorado. It was just incredible. I can't wait to blog more about it.

I'm headed to Sarasota tomorrow to visit my family for a couple of days before going back to work on Monday. I'm looking forward to seeing them and sharing pictures of my trip. I should be back soon with pictures!
